Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: October 8, 2026

The short version: Volt & Pedal participates in affiliate programs. If you click a link on this site and buy something, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not influence our recommendations.

How it works

Many of the "check price" and "buy" links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you'd pay going to the retailer directly — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your wallet.

Programs we participate in

As of the date above, we participate in affiliate programs with the following brands. Typical terms (which can change at the brand's discretion):

  • sixthreezero — commission typically 5–10%, cookie window typically 45 days.
  • Kingbull — commission typically up to 8%.
  • Breeze Rider — commission typically 10%, cookie window typically 30 days.

If we add programs or these terms change, we'll update this page.

What commissions don't do

  • They don't buy recommendations. Brands cannot pay for a spot in our guides or for a better ranking. Picks are based on how well a bike fits the rider it's meant for.
  • They don't mute criticism. If a bike has a real downside, we write it down — even when it has an affiliate link.
  • They don't change prices. Affiliate links never raise the price you pay.

Per-page notices

Every buying guide on this site includes a disclosure notice near the top stating that the page contains affiliate links. We consider that part of the article, not fine print.

Why we disclose this

The FTC requires affiliate marketers to clearly disclose financial relationships with brands they link to. We disclose because it's the law — and because you'd find out anyway, and we'd rather you heard it from us first.
